The Queens’ Quarters- A Therapy Group for Black Women

Purpose Statement

Group Purpose:

The purpose of this therapy group is to create a brave, affirming, and healing-centered space for Black women to explore relational wellbeing within the context of their lived experiences.

Group Focus Areas Include:

• Defining & Maintaining Your Identity as a Black Woman

• Impacts of Systemic Racism & Oppression

• Managing Microaggressions in the Workplace

• Surviving the Black SuperWoman Syndrome

• Self-Care & Wellness

• Addressing Mental Health Stigma in BIPOC Communities

• Black Love & Relationships

Ultimately, this group aims to strengthen self-awareness, relational boundaries, emotional authenticity, and self-compassion—empowering Black women to cultivate connection, rest, joy, and liberation in their relationships and daily lives.

  • Fill out our interest form and our therapist will review and contact you to schedule a Introductory Conversation.

  • Because this is a therapy group — not a drop-in support circle.

This group is not a good fit if you are in a state of crisis, have been diagnosed with moderate to severe depression, have a mood disorder or personality disorder diagnosis, or if you have an ongoing, untreated mental challenge or illness that is not being treated by an individual licensed professional.

To protect the safety, trust, and emotional depth of the space, all participants must:
    ✔️ Complete a registration form
✔️ Attend a brief screening consultation

    The screening helps ensure:
    • The group is a good fit for your needs
    • You feel clear about expectations
    • The container remains safe and aligned for all 10 women

  • The investment is $30 per session for 8 weeks (total $240).

This is intentionally priced to make quality, therapist-led group care more accessible.

Full payment is required after acceptance into the group.
We also offer Afterpay options to support flexibility.

Sessions are not covered by insurance

  • The group is limited to 10 participants to preserve intimacy, safety, and meaningful connection.

    Once full, enrollment will close

  •  This is an 8-week therapeutic experience, not a one-time workshop.

    Participants are expected to:
    • Attend consistently
    • Arrive on time
    • Respect confidentiality
    • Engage thoughtfully in discussions

Group therapy works best when everyone commits to the process.

  •  The group is led by a licensed therapist with expertise in relational well-being, identity development, and the mental health experiences of Black women.

This is a structured, clinically grounded space for healing and growth.

  • As a participant in this group, you can expect a thoughtfully designed experience that extends beyond our weekly sessions.

    • Receive a thoughtfully designed guidebook to support your journey

    • Engage with reflection questions and prompts between sessions

    • Deepen self-awareness and strengthen your voice

    • Integrate group insights into your daily life at your own pace

    • Be part of a community of Black women committed to growth and healing

    • Show up authentically in a space rooted in shared understanding and cultural affirmation

    • Experience relational care and mutual support

    • Practice honesty—with yourself and others

    • Experience vulnerability that is welcomed but never forced

    • Embrace freedom:

      • Freedom to define yourself

      • Freedom to rest

      • Freedom to set boundaries

      • Freedom to unlearn harmful narratives

      • Freedom to choose joy

    • Experience moments of laughter and lightness

    • Reclaim connection, pleasure, creativity, and fun as part of the healing process

This space is intentional. This space is supportive. This space is yours.
